Your quilt is really nice. I've been quilting off and on for about 15 years. Right now I'm working on a Tshirt quilt (of course, it's not the ONLY thing I'm working on, I always have at least 4 or 5 projects going). I had my surgery on March 28 and I'm down 44 pounds. I planned to make a quilt out of my "fat" clothes, but now I'm not so sure. I really want to just get rid of them. Welcome to the website and good luck in your journey. Cheryl

Hey y'all, I'm Michelle. On the quilting subject: I've been quiltling for about 3 years now. I have recently started designing my own quilts. I really like coming up with a idea and working it out in squares. you can see the quilt I desinged for my in laws as a house warming gift here: http://www.watercolorquiltshop.com/gallery1.html mine is the 12th down. On the subject of surgery I am right now waiting for my date, hopefully I will be getting it in July or August. Anyway I'm glad to have found another group of quilters especially one I have more than just quilting in common with. I hope everyone had a grat Memorial Day weekend! Michelle

Thanks for your note. Right now I am working on the tablerunner. I have a class on it on Thursday and I want to get alot done since that is the last class. I put the foundation quilt away for now, I don't want it to become a UFO but I got stuck and had nobody to ask what to do. My surgery date is April 8. Right now I am on day 11 of my 3 week liquid fast. I may never eat solid food again LOL. Keep on quilting Carla

Im not sure how active this mb is but I had to drop a line. Quilting is my passion, I love the feel of fabric. Right now my machine is out on my dining room table and I'm working on a foundation piece wallhanging. I'm not crazy about paper piecing but everybody swears by it. So I'll have to see. I am taking a class this week on a reversible tablerunner, my last class before surgery. Great to see all the quilters out there Carla 4-8-05

I'm glad to find this message board. I'm a quilting diva! I've been quilting for only 4 or 5 years and I'm addicted! A fabric store near where I live in Wyoming has a Super Bowl Sale every Super Bowl Sunday which is lots of fun. My favorite place to shop is at Fiberworks owned by Laura Heine in Billings, Montana. I live about 90 miles from Billings. My husband is sure that I own stock in her store as much money as I drop there. I had my surgery Jan 05, 2004 in Denver. Whenever I go to Denver for checkups I have to shop at the Great American Quilt Factory. I'm working a finishing rag quilts for my sons for Christmas(2004). Yes, I'm a little behind! I think rag quilts are my least favorite to make because they just don't look finished until you pull them out of the dryer. I'm trying hard to finish this last one so I can move on to another quilt. I have several projects in the works and need to get them all finished. Well glad you're all out there! Becky K Wyoming

Topic: Speaking of Shop Hops...
There are at least 2 shop hops going on online as we speak. One is at www.fabshophop.com and the other is at www.quiltindex.com. It's fun and last time I won some fabric from one of the shops! Marian

Diane, I realize you are in the Bay area, but there are shop hops in the Sacramento valley. Contact one of the Sacramento quilt shops and have them let you know when one is planned. Material Girls would be a good one to contact. If you are ever in northeastern California (90 miles northwest of Reno) stop in and visit my quilt shop--EWE Quilt 'N' Such on Main St. in Susanville behind the Chevron gas station. Monna

I set aside at least 15 minutes a day to quilt. You would be surprised at how much you can get done! It always ends up more like an hour or so that I quilt! I have been addicted to quilting for over 10 years now! If you need help go to a local quilt shop for lessons! You also get to know other area quilters! I have just found this site so am still reading all I can about WLS. I had my first appointment last week, a sleep test, and a psych evaluation! This week back for more psych testing (hope this is it!) and a pap test. Still need to get a c-pap so back to the sleep clinic, a colonoscopy, and a mammogram and then they will submit it to our insurance company! Hope to get all the tests done this month! Have fun quilting....have to go work on my granddaughter's quilt now! Sue
