Just curious if you got my blocks yet and have you got everyones yet? I have soooo many new projects that I need to work on. I am now working on a hand applique project. It is for a (late) wedding gift. My husband is still going through treatments and I find time when I can to work on it. I make sure I have both of my Quilt Blocks of the Month I am working on done and then find some time to applique. It's not perfect....heck, it is the first time I have done it....but I guess it will be ok. Later, Crafty Angie

Good Afternoon! I mailed my blocks to Quiltin Wilson I think about a week and a half ago. My block is called The Anvil...It went together pretty easy. I love to quilt! I started a quilt for our bed but now the weather is getting nice so I like to be outside so it might take me awhile. I had lap gastric bypass on February 20, 2006 and I am doing very well! I haven't had any trouble at all. I've lost 45 pounds so far!!!! I've dropped below 200 pounds and that feels wonderful!!!! Its been many years since I've been below that. I haven't found any food that I can't tolerate which is nice...I just eat my itty bitty portion. I love not feeling hungry!!!!

I had never run across that book so I checked it out on the net. It looks very interesting. My rotary cutting already resembles some of the blocks so I might be a natural. What are you making? I'm considering making a table runner. I've thought this many time before but the right pattern, the right fabric and the impulse has never come about at the same time. Maybe now is the time. Maybe something paper pieced. I'm going to head over to the quilter's cache and see what Marcia has cooking this month. Happy Easter, Mary in EAST Tn

Anyone who doesn't have this book and cutting tool needs it!!! I've had it for several years and tonight I finally decided to learn how to use it...SOOO COOL!!! I cranked out several very intricate blocks in maybe a quarter of the time it would have taken to do with paper peiceing or traditional template cutting. Check it out! Hannah

I mailed my blocks to Teresa Tuesday or Wednesday. I don't know how the count is going but I'm assuming there is no one any slower than me. ;-D I'm excited to see all the blocks and how they will go together. Mary in TN

Juli -this was set up the end of the year and finalized the end of Jan. Quiltin Wilson organized 12 of us to put together 12 blocks - 12 inches finished in country colors with an off white background. I've sent her 11 blocks (kept one for us) and she is to send back 11 when she gets all of them - deadline was sometime end of April. I sewed the card trick block, because my wife and I love to play cards. We both had surgery - mine August 17th and her's the 18th. I've lost a total of about 145 and she's lost about 120. We both are doing good. I've started on a curved Mexican Star wall hanging, but it's just sitting there - seems that I sew good for a weekend and then it sits for 2 weeks. My wife said I could not start it until the taxes are done. (I started early.) Take care - wish this board was more active. Robert from Northern Iowa.

I am new to this board; would you please explain the quilt block exchange? I do several quilts a year and I am always looking for new blocks and also have several different blocks that I enjoy making.
