I realize that the context of James 5:16 is in relation to the sick individual (patient) seeking prayer from the elders of his or her local church. I do firmly believe that the "...effectualy fervent prayer of a richtous man availeth much." James 5:16 I am looking to establish a small subgroup of individuals in the ObesityHelp.com webpage committed to prayer on behalf of individuals looking to have surgery and who are or have had surgery. I believe that God is the God of all comfort. (2 Corinthians 1: 3-7) I also believe that God gives comfort so that the individual who experiences that comfort can in turn comfort others.
