Topic: AWESOME CHURCH SERVICE TODAY
Happy Sunday I just have to tell you all about what a wonderful church service we had today at my church. You could definately feel God's pressence in there today. Our minister arrived in our church last July and has turned our church into "The house where God lives". She is an awesome woman. Her sermen today was called "Faith Fever" and how we need to take our "Faith Fever" out and spread it around so everyone we come in contact with will catch it. From the first song to the last I could feel God in me and it was wonderful. She is truly an amazing woman. I thank God everyday for bringing her into our church. Before she arrived our church was missing the "Spirit" of Jesus Christ and I considered leaving and going elsewhere. Boy am I glad I decided to stick around. She keeps telling us she is going to take us places that we have never been before and I believe her 100%. If anyone from Delaware is on this board and you are searching for a friendly church and one that will make you feel and see Jesus then I reccommend that you come visit my church. Marshallton United Methodist Church 1105 Stanton Road, Wilmington, DE. We have a Praise and Worship service at 9am, Sunday School for all ages at 10am and a traditional service at 1100am. COME CATCH THE FAITH FEVER. Deanna

Let me add another thought.... IF the teachings of the Catholic church were against this surgery, why would one of our Deacons be one of the psych's recommended to do the psych evals??? I wouldn't think that he would do something professionally that went so against his religious beliefs (just like I won't take a job at a family planning clinic). Melissa

i'm coming in to this convo really late (I'm relatively new to OH and just found this forum--I'll be back). I'm a converted Catholic, I was raised protestant. DH is a cradle Catholic. I've thought about it and prayed about it and have come to one conclusion: God has given man the ability to do certain things to make our lives better. This surgery is one of those tools. Surgery is NOT going to make my life perfect or make me something special. Like the handful of meds I swallow, this is another tool to help me get healthy. Melissa

Dea you're off to a great start on your music selections...you'll do fine don't worry about picking out all the "best", just make them from your heart and I'm sure he'll cherish them! And from an experienced Dad..yeah, it's going to be different with him gone, but, the opportunity for his growth in so many ways is very much worth it for everyone. Our middle-son is in his 4th year of his Army enlistment, served one tour over in Baghdad and looks like he'll he "stopped lossed" which means he'll not get out at his expected date this July and will probably be heading back overseas...but through it all he has matured and grown, as have his parents! Trust in his abilties to succeed. And you know he'll be watched over by tons of your prayers too! my addition to your song selections? sounds like an odd one, but the lyrics are sooooo aplicable. Topic: Prayer For The Day
God still sits on the throne. Each and every one of us are going through tough times right now but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that only He can. Keep the faith. My instructions were to pick four people that I wanted God to bless, and I picked you. Please pass this to at least four people you want to be blessed. This prayer is powerful, and prayer is one of the best gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards. Let's continue to pray for one another. The prayer: Father, I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and those I care deeply for who are reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace. Where there is need, I ask you to fulfill their needs. Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings. In Jesus' precious name Amen. If the Lord lays it upon your heart this with others.

Topic: RE: WHAT DOES THIS MAKE ME?
Cristal, I have to also say how wonderful I think it is that you would post your questions for all to read and respond. I think you are saying what many people feel, and Dawn, I think your answer was so right on, and very much to the point, and non judgemental that I cannot add anymore. I saw the show last night with Barbara Walters that basically says that "all roads lead to Heaven" as long as you believe in something. That is the movement that is sweeping not just the USA, but across the world. I just see this as proof of Jesus' soon return. I am a Christian, and by that I mean, that I personally have accepted Jesus as MY personal saviour, that I believe that He was born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, died and was buried, and on the third day rose again. I have asked him into my heart (8 yrs ago) and since that time, we have had very hard times, and trials. God never promised us a rose garden, on the contrary, he promised us that we would go through trials and tribulations and in fact, some of us would lose friends, and family for the sake of His name. I can say all of the above has happened to me. While I grieve for the loss of friends and family, I cannot go back to my old self, and lose the wonderful promises that He has promised ALL who accept him. Many people say Christians are judgemental for saying that Jesus is the only way to Heaven. My answer is this: WHY ANY WAY AT ALL? We do not deserve to go to Heaven. There is no one good enough, works won't save you, actions, words or deeds. NO one is good enough, so that is why God sent Jesus. Jesus is God in human form. He had to leave His throne, and the wonderful kingdom of Heaven to come to this vile planet and live among theives, murderers, sinners....US He did this because He loved us sooo much, that he wanted to give us the ultimate gift. ALL He asked in return is to love His son, and to accept Him. That is it. Why have wars broken out about this, why have people killed over this? If you were to say you were buddist, hindu, agnostic, aetheist, anything but Christian, you are good. Christ is the only name that will evoke great rage in people. Jesus loves all of us no matter what we have done. No sin or act or deed is too great or bad for his blood to cover. So my question is this again, Why did God give us any way at all to come back to Him? He was so disgusted with man that He flooded the earth and He was grieved He had made man. So He started over. But because it is in our nature to sin, because of Adam and Eve, He then sent Jesus to bring us back. Jesus is the bridge to God. He loves us so He provided a way to keep that relationship. When God looks at us when we are in Heaven (believers), He doesn't see our sins, He sees the blood of Jesus covering us, so we can then be counted worthy. We don't have to do ANYTHING to come to God, but all we have to do is COME. Just Come and accept Jesus as your saviour. That act alone is all you have to do to be saved. One day all will know the truth. The truth that Jesus is the way, the truth and the light. He is the only way to Heaven, and one day every knee will bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord of Lords, and King of Kings. Will most wait until they are before Him trembling in fear, or now, while you have the chance. We are only guaranteed the opportunity, never days or hours on this earth. Merry Christmas, The Gift of Life is Given, A Child is Born, for all mankind. Deb
