I had my surgery in January and we had no suport group in our town, although we have a surgeon who is doing on an average about 4 bypasses per month, with good success rate. AFter a while, that adds up. So he encouraged me to start a support group. Which I have. WE had our first meeting in April with 25 people present. Wow!! It was great. In May we had about 20 , and some new folks. What I need to know is some suggestions on how you run your support group. What do you do? What speakers do you have? How long does it last? What are some of the topics of interest that you cover? Are there fun things you do? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. PLease email me at home at [email protected].

Congratulations on your weight loss and on your support group. I lead a support group in my hospital. We ha had several guest speakers: plastic surgeon nutricionist psycologyst phisical trainer yoga class Doctors As your group member what they would like, it very much depends how far from surgery are lla your members.
