Has anyone here had plastic surgery or a panniculectomy?

I recently celebrated my one year anniversary and am battling this hanging skin on my abdomen. My Dr tells me he does not believe there will be any problem in my insurance approving having a panniculectomy. I was just wondering if there is anyone else out there who has had this done and would like to give me any advice. Thanks.

Thank you for your prayers.. someone upstairs must be listing as I have an appointment to see a plastic surgeon this next week. He might look at me and tell me to come back when i have another 100 lbs off .. but then again he might let me do this now.

I have BC/BS FED BLUE and they did NOT approve my plastic. I went to a teaching hospital and had it done out of pocket. i had lost 120# and was at goal when I had my Tt, this spring I hope to get my inner thighs done.

Was there ANY conditions under which BCBS for Feds pays for plastics? I am currently carrying 2 insurances (my husband is a Fed) and will drop BCBS if they will not cover plastics.
