Hey, Thanks for the shout. I am a little forelorn this day as my HR department contacted me. They had worked out a loan for me because the surgery is not covered by our insurance. Then out of the blue now that I have done all the testing and have a surgery date they are saying.."wait we are meeting on the 19th to decide possible benefits for the WLS"! I am beside myself, if I wait it may be covered but if I give up my date there is always the chance it wont be and I have to start again. Man! I hate this @!#! I want this so badly and have been working for 2 years for it. I hope it all works out as it should. I am really trying to be positive. I've lost 14 lbs on the protein shakes in prep for the surgery so it can't be that bad right? Talk soon...nice to meet you...good luck on your surgery! Carolyn

Hi all! Also a L&D nurse, and work with three other L&D nurses who have had RNYs! I'm just beginning the process--consults, tests, etc--but it's great to have the support of all of you who have gone b4 me! Hope all is well for you who have surgeries coming up! Megan
