Hello from Mexico City!!!
Hello!
I am a Rn here in Mexico City. I have been a nurse for the past 25 years!!! and I still love it.
I had my surgery 3 1/2 years ago, and it has been a wonderful ride.
Fortunately now i am able to share my experience with bariatric patients, as i now work for a Bariatric center here in Mexico City.
If you ever visit Mexico let me know so we can get togehter and I can show you around!!!
Now that is what I want to do. I want to work at a bariatric hospital. They are building one in Lenexa, KS and I have met one of the surgeons and I told her in about a year I will be wanting to work for her. She told me to call her. I think it would be great to use your experience with wls to help people that are preop. Janice
I am working on my MSN for FNP (got about 1 1/2 years left). I just saw that the surgeons that run the New Dimensions Weight Loss Center here, where I am getting my surgery, are looking for a FNP now. ARGH! That is exactly the kind of job I want after I get through! Maybe there will be others available by then!

Hey Maureen,
Sounds like you have a very rewarding position. You must see lots of successes. I manage an inpatient detox unit. The successes I see are few and far between, but do sometimes occur, so it is definitely worth it.
I am currently trying to learn a little Spanish to help communicate with the increasing numbers of Spanish speaking patients that are in our community who are seeking my agencies services. Would you be willing to help? I need lots of practice. Please let me know if you can, then we can talk more about it in greater detail.
I will take you up on your offer to be a guide if I ever get to Mexico City. I love to travel but rarely get the chance.
Take care down there in sunny Mexico.
Hasta pronto!
Nancy
