Hello Fellow Nurses! Just found this board.......how wonderful! I'm an RN spent my time in the trenches on the cardiac units....recovered open heart/cath lab....moonlighted in home care. I practiced from 1986 to 1999 and loved every minute of it.....until menopause! LOL! I've been in grad school for the past 2 years, after taking a computer science degree, to become a special ed teacher......and I love this, but I'm a nurse in my heart. I'm scheduled for the RNY on 5/24/05 and am thrilled to finally get an insurance card that the weight I lose will stay off! How many times has my heart been broken after losing a 100-150 pounds and turning around to find it again! So here's to freedom.....finally! Cheers to us All.........the Caring Professionals! Dear Sandra, Ahhhhh....JACHO, what a bummer you'll miss the audit! Thanks for the nursing instructor thoughts.....I did teach PCTs once upon a day when I was in a nurse practitioner program. Good luck on securing your desired date.....and Great Luck on your surgery! And as one nurse wished me.....I wish you compassionate nurses. God Speed! Sally
