Sandra, I've been wondering how you're doing since you're last update. When are you going back to work? Caryl

I've been doing great, thanks for asking. I have only had 1 incident when some mayo made me feel quite bad for a couple hours and other than that no problems. A little tired every now and then, but that's expected after major surgery. Went out of town this w/e and even went "out" to eat twice. Just picked off hubbies plate. Had a chicken select from MickyD's, was a little worried since it's fried but was OK. I'm sure I don't need fried foods but you can't always get what you want, LOL. I go back to work next Wed. Could have probably at 2-3 weeks I felt so good, but my short term disibility approved for 6 weeks and that's what I'm taking, LOL So how is the new job going Caryl? Hope you can get your surgery soon. Congrats on the wedding and how is hubby doing since his surgery. High W - 250 Jan 05 Surg W - 235 6-30 W - 223 7-13 W - 216 7-21 W - 213 GW - 150

I'm glad you're doing so well. Tonight is my last day at the "old" job. I'm sorry to leave the people I work with. They are a great group of people. Everybody understands though and quite a few have expressed indignation that our hospital claims to be a "bariatric center" yet does not cover surgery for employees. I start my new job August 8th. I'm taking next week off to relax and try to get my house cleaned up a bit. I'm nervous about getting my hopes up. I'd like to get the surgery in the next 6 months if I can manage it. I hear First Health is tightening requirements for proving medical necessity. I'll keep you posted. The wedding was great fun. I was a little sad it was over so quickly, but we had a good time. We took a little trip to San Antonio and Galveston for a few days. Phil is doing well. He is holding his weight now, not losing but not gaining. I think when he increases his exercise again he'll start losing. He was very gung-ho at the gym at first and then slacked off as his schedule got busier. Take care. Sounds like you're doing great.
