Any Georgia RN's??

Hi I am looking to find out if there are any RN's from GA on this message board? In the Atlanta or surrounding area would be the best. I live in Monroe, GA. I am looking to change jobs, but only want to go somewhere that has insurance that covers WLS. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, April

Hi April! I am a registered nurse from Macon Georgia. I've worked at The Medical Center since 1990. I currently work for a group of Radiologist. My insurance carrier is Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia. BCBS stopped covering WLS this year--however my last understanding that a bill is in the house for approval for insurance companies in Georgia to cover WLS. Have you posted a message on the main message board here or look at WingsAroundAtlanta? You can view that website by adding http: and typing in //groups.yahoo.com/group/WingsAroundAtlanta/. I know that other insurance companies are still covering WLS--hopefully someone on one of these sites can help you with the infomation you need. Please let me know if you have any other questions. I believe Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA covers the surgery. Best of luck. Jackie
