Any office nurses?

Hi Fellow nurses- I have my surgery scheduled for this monday 12/12/05. Am I crazy to say I will be back to work on 12/28?? I work in a family practice- no heavy lifting unless putting supplies away. mostly alot of standing and /or sitting (on the phone) Cheryl

Cheryl... Do you have to go back to work? I took 6+ weeks off but I am a Labor and Delivery night nurse and I had tons of PAL saved up. But I swear I could have gone back at 3 weeks. So many things will change so fast that you should give yourself the most possible time you have. There are so few times in our lives that we get to be off...take advantage of all the time and FMLA you have. Jen 243/169/140

I only took 13 days off, however I don't do direct patient care, just administrative work. I did great. No complications at all.
