Hey Dee, Im an RN but I dont come to this board often. I just got my approval last week so Im waiting for my Drs office to schedule my surgery. They told me it would probably be mid July. I should get my letter today or tomorrow. I work night shift at a drug and alcohol rehab. Mariah

I have never noticed a vaginal smell except for the first week.I noticed a strong urine smell but I thought it was cause I was dehydrated.I don't notice anything now.The gas for me was not as bad as I thought it would be.Once in a while it smells but not bad and the stools are different not real bad but different.I have IBS so I thought it would be bad but not so far.I take MOM every few days to get it going but then go about 4 times that day and I am good to go for a bit.I know you have ketosis and wondering if I do. but doesn't smell so will check it when I get back to work and have the strips.Dee

Mariah,You are prepared.I gained all my weight working nights and a bad marriage and alot of bad choices.Not all excuses but for 20 yrs been struggling with it.I was so burned out about nights and my not getting enough sleep.I suffer from depression and anxiety and that does not help.I finally got on Evenings and do some nights but it is not often so it's sort of nice to work with my old co workers again.I was thinking of going back in 6 weeks but he had to do more extensive work and I got 12 weeks off.I may need to take 8 weeks I will see.I am improving day by day but takes so long and i am so impatient.I hate taking the pain medication but if I don't I am miserable and in such pain in the upper part of my stomach or besides the pouch..I will use body cream too as I itched so bad in the hospital they gave me Atarex.Take care Dee

I know... at the time it was a serious problem to me but thinking about it now, it was passing. My husband said he couldn't smeel anything and my family I know would have said something if they could have (that's just how they are). I didn't miss any work because of it. I truly think it was just a change in smell more than it being a roting smell. Di

I hope your surgery went well. When I first started visiting the RN message board there was a little more activity, but evidently that was a passing thing. I check once a month or so now. I'd come back more if more people were talking. Caryl
