Herbalife...To poo*****t to poop? That is the question!

I'm bringing another question to you all I don't know where to get any real answers from. Here goes... I am having issues with major constipation. My Dr. suggested Fiber Con....what a waste of 20 bucks. No help at all! I've been eating several prunes a day, and a hand full of nuts, this seems to get things moving but still hard on me. And I'm not to happy about ingesting the high fat content of the nuts. But you have to poop! Well here's my question. I bought some Herbalife Herbal Aloe the other day, I was told this will work miracles and is all natural, no stimulants and gentle on my system. I was hoping to hear somthing from someone here that has used it and can give me some insight on how well it might or might not work. Lil' help? Thanks in advance ~ Dawn

Hi Dawn, Sorry can't help you about the herbalife but my doctor had told me if I had some trouble in the beginning to take stool softeners. I haven't needed to take anything ( knock on wood) but it is here "just in case" Good Luck, Sandy

Dawn try the Smooth Move Tea by Tradicinal Medicinals.  You drink 1 cup before bed and in the morning you'll have a BM.  You can buy it at GNC and your grocery store.

I used to sell Herbalife many moons ago, and I remember that the Herbal Aloe is a wonderful product.  My husband had/has acid reflux quite badly and this really helped to soothe his insides.  Not sure how it would work as a laxative though.  You prolly know this already, but I copied the product description for you, below, from www.herbalife.com. Good luck! Maria W.

Dawn, I use Colace 2-3 times a week just to soften my stool.  It's a tiny pill that I take at bedtime. An x-co-worker of mine used to use the Herbal Aloe Juice.  It cleaned her out good!!!  She used to warn all of us whenever she was going to the bathroom so we wouldn't go in there unaware . Good luck! Donna

Thanks for the feedback folks. I opted to go ahead and give it a try. My concern was more of it having a dumping effect or if it might be hard on our system postop. Neither of which has happened yet. Knock on wood...so far so good. I'll let everyone know how it all works out in the end.... ;)

Herbalife also has (or used to have) a 21-day cleansing program.  It's a tablet you take in the morning and a tablet you take in the evening (AM and PM bottles) for 3 weeks straight, then stop.  No diarrhea with it, just cleaned out!   I was wondering about the Herbalife protein shakes for postop, but looking at the labels I think they may have too much sugar in them.  It's a shame because they taste realllllly good to me.
