Hello All I hope you all had a great day. I am pre-op and have been looking into different "liquid" meal replacements for before AND after surgery.  Can anyone give me some feedback on the Atkins Advantage Drinks.  They have 15g of Protein and 1g of sugar.  Is that too much sugar for AFTER surgery??? Thanks! ~Kym~

Hey Kym!   I have been using EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control (chocolate fudge) and l love them (cold only). They have 17g protein, 110 calories each and only 2 net carbs.  I have been using them this week (into my 2nd week post-op) with absolutely NO problems.  As someone mentioned above, each one of us is different, so don't buy a lot of anything until you test to see how you like it and how your pouch reacts to it.  Also, your tastes change a little and something you like before you might not like after (and vice versa).  Good luck!!! Elaine (hugs)

Hello.. I have been having a hard time getting in my protein, and I tried one of those chocolate fudge drinks last evening...I could not get it down..it looked really good, so I was bummed when I tasted it.  Actually the taste is good..it is the thin watery texture that I can't do??  The french vanilla has a really good taste also..but I can not drink it for the same reason.  Anyone have any protein suggestions?   Sonya

Pssst ... try the Cafe Caramel flavor.  It's a coffee flavored caramel drink.  It does have a tiny bit of caffeine, but not enough to make a difference.  The strawberry ones taste kind of like strawberry milk.  I like the chocolate fudge ones too.  EAS is my choice of drinks and has been since surgery.  I still drink them now at almost 15 months out.

I used the Atkins & Slim-Fast Low Carb immediatly after surgery.  I prefer the Chocolate & Vanilla flavors & they must be cold.  They are very filling and have a good amount of protein.

I drank (and still do) the Atkins Advantage shakes.  I think they are a lot better than the EAS low carb shakes!!   Atkins Advantage Chocolate Royale flavor is my favorite and they must be cold! I drank the shakes before and after surgery. Good luck. mm

I've drank them and they were ok.  I prefer the EAS carb control drinks.  They come in vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and Cafe Caramel.  YUMM!
