i had 1/4 of one today.... i'm almost 9 months out.... i was so stuffed full i was hardly comfortable. a whole one would feed me at least 3-4 times. as you'll hear from probably everyone that responds: everyone is different.

I could if I wanted. Bagels are too tempting for me though so I don't bother.

Who CAN have a bagel or who WANTS a bagel??? I would say...ME  I can have a bagel..as I don't deny myself anything...would I want a bagel, NAH, I don't think so..it triggers overeating on carbs for me.  I can't eat a whole bagel...I can't even half a bagel..a few bites and the thing fills me up.  But like I said, I don't go there!!  Dawn

I can have it if I want it, and have had maybe 1/4 on occasion (I think once on an airline flight), but they fill me up way too fast and bread doesn't sit well with my grouchy pouchy. There is nothing off limits according to my DR. this isn't a diet but a new lifestyles for me. Now it's all about making good healthy choices.

My pouch is capable of holding an entire bagel. Major carb coma afterwards though.

Carbs are a waste of space!  Tuna, chicken, fish, and jerky are my daily nutrition.  Along with protein shakes and protein bars, now I do get carbs with the bars! AmyBeth

I know they are not a good choice, and are a waste of space that can be used for protein. I was just curious who was physically *able* to eat a whole bagel...... Thanks guys for the replies thus far!!!!

Hi, I know they are not the best choice, but I am all for moderation.  I can eat maybe 1/3 at a time, and am 7 months out.  Not something I do often.  I first tried a piece of bagel in January.  Now I might have one once a month. Jenn
