That's so funny.  I feel like that all the time!  When you post online, I've learned the hard way, you never know what you're gonna get!  It can be frustrating.  By the way, I haven't tried a bagel yet since surgery, but now I'm curious!  LOL

I am VERY uncomfortable with the soft breads - like the bagel innards. So, what I do, is I "hollow out" my bagel before toasing and and then fill it with whatever I am in the mood for - tuna salad, chicken salad, cream cheese - whatever! Delish! And, after half a bagel I am full and happy! Woo Hoo!!!

jon always by you.

I doubt it, so I haven't tried. I'm 7.5 months out. Two reasons: 1) Bread feels weird. I *can* eat it, but it feels all squeeeemy. Not a good feeling. 2) I can't fit that many carbs into my day and still make my other goals.

I have had a few bites, but definitely could not eat a whole one.  I just started trying a slice of bread with pnut butter this past weekend.  A bite or two of any kind of bread is usually enough for me.

I could eat one, but this isn't something I choose often. I think I've had one bagel in the last year. My breakfast tends to be one of these; oatmeal, multigrain cheerios with sliced banana or an egg sandwich (whole grain toast, one egg, slice of cheese, slice of tomato). sometimes I can eat the whole sandwich, sometimes about 3/4...just depends on the day.

I can and DO eat about half a scooped out bagel often. I save the other half for later cuz i just cant eat the whole thing.. Ill usually fill it with veggie cream cheese or something. I need the carbs or im afraid ill lose more..
