Wouldnt salad fall under the "raw veggies"?? I was allowed soft fruits/veggies after 2 weeks post-op, at 2 months I was cleared for 'normal eating' and added salads into my diet. I still eat a salad daily.

Yeah, I would think raw veggies would be a part of salad..... however I was told not to touch either until 6 weeks out. To much on the newly made pouch..... But different Drs and Nuts tell you different things.

Salads are still hard for me... any raw veggies just don't sit right.... I do love a salad every now and then though and just try to put alot of protein on it and take a only small bites of the other stuff.

Hi Rachel: My surgery was the day after yours. I'm eating one right now! My doc didn't put any limits on any of my foods. He just said to keep it low fat and low sugar and no white carbs. After my four week check up, I got my first salad and it was wonderful! Enjoy!

My Dr and NUT said not till 3 months.  But I have tried it sooner and I was fine.  I dont do well with tomatoes though.   I add some grilled chicken and some cheese so I used less sald.  For dressing I use a lil olive oil and some vinegar, hint of basil, oregano, parsley, salt and peper and a hint of dryed mint leaves if I have them handy.
