ProCel Protein Supplement, LiquaCel Liquid Protein, UpCal D
Jilly,
Do you buy the GoPacks or the jar of UpCal D? My dietician gave me a sample and I tried it in my jello, not bad. I found something I like! Have you tried Liquafiber, 8 for 8 Decaffe coffe or Broth Plus? My surgery is on the 21st and I am trying to get my supplies ready! Now if I could only find a protein I'll have it made!

I just use the can of upcal and i don't bother putting it in anything most of the time. Usually I just dump it on my tongue swallow with water and go! It tastes good plain. I
've never used any of the other products. My suggestion is don't buy too much you will never use 1/2 of what you think you will. And just get protein samples so you can try a variety AFTER surgery. It too me a very long time to find one I liked because your tastes change so much. Vitalady... below... had a great # of samples, and lots of stores have samples or individual pkts too. Just ask them.
Yes. Use UpCal D all the time. ProCel. The tiny scoopers threw me off, too. But since I think in 30g increments and compare everything to a 2# tub of whey, I worked it all out and using 6 sc = 30g, but it's still about the same amount of powder as a big scoop. And the price for 3 of the tiny tubs is equivalent to an average 2# tub of whey powder.
The sccopER is a marketing tool. The amount of whey protein it takes to make 30g varies from only about 1/3 c of powder (for the more sandy types) to 1/2 c powder (for the fluffier ones). So, regardless of that the serving size, the scoopER is all that changes from mfr to mfr. Whey measures appx the same, brand to brand, unless there are a bunch of adders (so then they're not in my stable)
I don't use the LIquaCel since it's collagen.
