I LOVE EATING SALTY-SWEET-CRUNCHY SNACKS. I WISH I KNEW OF ONE THAT IS NOT SO CALORIC. FOR SOME REASON I LIKE THE COMBINATION OF THE SNACK. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANYTHING?

I love Nature Valley Roasted Nut Crunch (peanut or almond) Bars.  They have 7 grams of protein, 190 calories and 7 grams of sugar.  Deb

Genisoy makes a salt and vinegar soy crisp. I really like them...and they are tangy but salty. I used to be addicted to Salt/Vinegar potato chips but these will do just fine!!!

I like trail mix with raisins or I sometimes top some lowfat brie with SF raspberry preserves and roasted slivered almonds.  Lots of protein and the taste...Mmmmm. I also enjoy salted soy crisps in peanut butter.  Or you could try some splenda with SF vanilla syrup and use it over Nuts or seeds as you like with some salt and roast it in the oven. I think you can make most things in a healthy way if you make it yourself. Good Luck!

My new OBSESSION>>>>Quakes..rice snacks. I know, you gonna be like Ohh no rice cakes. So not what they used to be. My favorite....apples cinnamon, they have cheese, bbq, ranch, chocolate, kettle corn, nacho cheese, carmel corn. 7-9 pices is 60 to 70 calories..1-2 grams protein depending on what flavor. They also have multi-grain flavor, they are good to but not as big. I can eat the whole bag in one day, so I must hide them from myself.

actually my new fav snack is from Adtkins Advantage and has peanuts, almonds, cashews and dark choc covered soy nuts with light salt has 6 grams of protein and I think about 150 calories but takes care of that sweet, salty and crunchy craving.

I used dried peas and dry roasted edamame. 1/4 cup dried peas have 6 grams of protein + fiber. 1/4 cup edamame has 14 grams of protein + fiber. Very few foods that are salty, crunchy, and healthy after surgery. Almonds in small quantities are OK for nuts too. My profile page has info on the peas and edamame. DAVE

Try the Atkins Endulge Peanut Caramel Cluster Bar.   It's a little salty and a little sweet.  Not too much of either.   It has 1 g sugar, 140 calories and 8 g protein.   I love them for those little moments.   They are 1.2 ounces - just the right size.
