A F&*^$ing Hooker? RANT!

My husband loved it so i just need to stop worrying about getting approval from my family, its never going to happen!

I'm sure he's the one that most appreciates the "new you". DAVE

Actually he tells me it doesn't phase him, he said I thought you were always gorgeous you were the one with the issues about your weight, I said but you can't tell me I dont look better now. he said your attitude changed your more confident you walk with your head up. it is what makes you sexier, I guess he loved me fat or skinny lol

YOu wanna here what happened over here? I showed my husband you picture and he said "WOW. She looks GREAT." Then I said "You wanna hear what her dad had to say?" And he said "What does her DAD have to do with it?"

Then he said you don't look like a hooker but you definitely wear it well...He said a hooker would probably have not worn the leggings. LOL.

Seriously, you wear nice clothes because you can and it's for YOUR selfesteem and not to look like a hooker..Psh...Hooker? Had you been really quick you could have asked him what experience HE had with hookers? Hmmm?

Sorry Gina, that's a terrible thing for him to say to you.  Your family is giving you so much grief!  I think I'd distance myself a bit until they could learn to filter their thoughts before they speak.  You look sexay in this pic, nothing like a hooker!

I will distance myself for sure, hubby keeps telling me I need to stop seeking theirr approval I will never get it, but there is this part of me tthat just wants to hear they are proud of me. and know what? thru all this haven't heard it once. oh well can't make everyone like you, just thought with family it should be different.

This is a very true statement. We seek approval from our parents from the very beginning but I really messed up by seeking my dad's approval.

My dad HATED my boyfriend and he turned (the boyfriend) turned out to be not the greatest so we split up. My dad was tickled pink. When I started dating this other guy, my dad let me know he totally approved of this one. In my mind I thought "Hey, finally, approval from my dad." and I married the a$$ hole. We lasted 6 years and I finally had to leave. My dad was broken hearted. So I found a wonderful guy and my dad let me know he absolutely didn't approve of  this one...FINALLY, I woke up and said "You know what? This isn't about what HE (dad) wants anymore. He's an IDIOT. I'm gonna do what makes ME happy and if he approves, great. If he doesn't SO WHAT?"

That was 21 years ago and the new guy and I have been married 18 years. My dad is proud of me...He sees that I have a good head on my shoulders; chose well; make good decisions but I don't wait for his approval...I know myself better than he does.

Sometimes with family  it IS different. Sometimes with family you have to really push hard to get what you want...and ignore what they want.

WOW! I can't wait to look like a hooker!  When I loose this weight I'm going to go around in a tube top and stillettos!  You go girl!  This gives me inspiration and your dad needs to GAG ( get a grip) you worked hard for this . NOw its time to enjoy the benifits.    More power to you!  I think you look fantastic! Sounds like everyone else does too!
