Do you remember being intubated?

I dont remeber anything.   Myhappy shot before the OR and then i was in my room. Dont remeber Recovery was in there longer because they couldnt find me a room.  Good luck

I had a shoulder surgery once that had them taking the tube out just as I woke up. I do remember it, but no big deal. When I had my lap band in 2002 my thyroid was low going in. They almost canceled my surgery but went ahead. They explained to me that my low thyroid could cause me not to wake up like people normally do. I thought OK, no big deal. BS, it was a big deal. I would wake up and keep going back to sleep. When I would wake up I could hear them telling me to stay awake and they would remove the tube. They tied my hands down because I kept trying to tear the tube out. I finally woke all the way up and they pulled it out right away. For that reason I am staying right on top of my thyroid being right. Other than that I have no problem and do not worry about the tube.
