OT-A Prophetic Warning from Pastor Steve Foss Sat, 25 Oct 2008
I believe this post is ridiculous just like the rest of you.
What has bothered me in some of the replying posts are the derogatory comments made about all types of people (Christian, Agnostic, Atheist, etc.) Not all the posts have this issue, but some do.
There is no reason to attack each other's beliefs (whatever they may be). I have yet to understand why it becomes necessary to attack the beliefs of someone else. Yes, I am a Christian, yet I don't choose to tell others what I think or that what I think is any better than what they believe. I also don't think it is necessary to categorize an entire group (Dems, Repubs, Atheists, Agnostics, Jews, Christians, fill in your group here_____________) by the few who are radicals. In every group there are those fanatics who give the rest of that group a bad name. However, those few should not be the basis by which others make their judgements.
Yes, I am going to have a sunshine and rainbow moment: Just be kind to each other. No matter what your beliefs are, what group you belong to, the most human way to handle each other is with respect and tolerance. If we all agreed on everything, what a frickin boring world this would be!
*off my soap box now, thank you for listening*

Digging the female clergy and the labyrinth. There is a labyrinth at The Tempe of Sekhmet http://www.sekhmettemple.com/ north of Vegas.
Yeah, it's a great place. Cheryl, our pastor, just got a distinguished alumnus award from Yale Divinity School. She's an old Nebraska farm girl with a mind like a steel trap.
Our church is very accepting of gays and lesbians. I learned something new at the church halloween party yesterday...there's a BIG raised deck on one of the buildings, and it was turned into a pirate ship with a haunted house below decks. I did NOT realize that gay men make the MOST awesome pirate costumes...OMG. You shoulda SEEN all our pirates. Unbelievable!
