What are you eating/doing today? Wednesday!

Shari did you get your snow day!  I hope so or else I feel really bad saying we are having our second.  The whole city is frozen.  Since I have a phenomenally crappy car in which driving in such weather is really gambling your life, I'm stuck in the house.  I have cabin fever a little bit now.  Lord help me.

Not sure what the plan is today beyond breakfast, but here's a reasonable guesstimate:

B - Picante beef 2 egg omelette (found out with the beef 3 egg whites was too much)
L - I might do some lentil soup and a roast beef and turkey roll-up
S - Greek yogurt and KashiGoPoop (I am reasonably sure I will have this)
D - ???  May attempt just regular old mini-meatloaves with some mixed vegetables (I heart mixed vegetables)
LNS - Still have not made my damn protein ice cream.  But today I have this crazy idea about combining 5 minute protein cake and protein pudding.  Maybe the promise of invention will drive me to actually have it.

I should have stayed home today.  But I hate using up my valuable vacation days for stupid stuff like weather.  It took me 2 hours and 45 minutes to make the drive this morning -- white knuckling it all the way.  Snow is suppose to stop around noon, so hopefully the plows will deal with the roads by this evening for the drive home.

I brought my gym bag for a workout tonight after leaving the office.  But it really depends on the roads at 5pm if I'll go or not.  If it's going to take me 3 hours to drive home tonight, I'd rather not get a 90 minute late start on the drive.

Here's the food plan for the day:

Commute --- pure protein bar (this was difficult to do while driving in this crap)
Arrive at work -- fake latte
Breakfast -- skipped the healthy yogurt and ate a blueberry pie bar thingie from the breakroom.
Lunch -- Nik's tuna casserole and a small salad
Snack -- Fiber One granola bar
Dinner -- Turkey mignon and side of edamame

So... skipping that high protein  yogurt for breakfast and having that blueberry pie thing now puts me low on protein for the day. Serves me right!  I've got about 200 calories to play with and it will probably need to be a protein hot cocoa or beef jerky or something for a LSN.  We'll see.

It was actually pretty amazing!  I think this is going to become one of those old standbys.  I cooked it on the George Foreman grill with a little Lawry's Season Salt and then served it with some steak sauce.  (Decided it tasted enough like "steak" after a few bites that the A1 was perfect.)  The bacon around the edge didn't really cook fully, so I pulled most of it off.

It's got 35g protein in one medallion and since it's turkey, super low in fat!  I bought my package at Aldi's and it was pretty cheap if I remember (around $6 for package of 4 or 5, I think).

I'm trying really hard for the next couple weeks to eat out of the pantry and freezer.  My freezer is overly packed so I need to clear out some stuff.  A new upright freezer is on my list to buy with income tax return monies, but until then ....

Once I get my new freezer it'll be a lot easier to make protein ice cream regularly.  :-)  That's a huge priority.

After a cruise (last week, that was by the way fabulous) I am stuck eating way too many carbs and calories.

On a positive note - that finally gave me my energy back, I got my period (after 3 months without), so not all is bad.
But I need to get back to basics, and do that before my next trip (next week) to a week-long meetings.  So, next few days this week I will be on a limited carbs (as low as I can get) and lower calories program (carb detox)
So today:
B: protein coffee (was good....and only 5 carbs -3 fiber= 2 net carbs)
S; tea, isopure
L: lettuce, chicken or fish (5 net carbs)
S; beef stick (s) (1-2 carbs)
D: lettuce + chicken or fish
S: isopure or Low carb, HP cereal (if I really would crave something sweet)

I really hope I can stuck with this.

and I am planning to get in some extra fiber in so I can clean my guts from all the "junk" (not really junk, but...) since limited food volume - may cause BM problems.

Third day back at work since surgery.  Got my two week checkup this afternoon which I am excited about.

I am still sipping my protien coffee from three hours ago.

I am not so good at the eating yet, but I do have a scrambled egg with some cheese that hubby pureed for me here at work.  Hope i can eat it before one or two o clock.  I am still pretty nauseated in the mornings.

I hope to also get a protien shake in and I have a 20oz water bottle in my freezer here with Crystal Light.  PRAYING I get all that in a work.  Not so sure though!
