Awww!  Corgis....

I just had to find a new home for my 5 yr old Corgi a month ago.  My twins were, we found out, very allergic to her.

It is a good home, though, with other Corgis.

I am 5'8 and 190-ish.  So I'm a bit bigger than the average woman although I think my proportion makes people think I'm smaller than I am.  When I tell people I still have 40 lbs. to lose all seem to think 147-150 would make me "model thin."

Hah!  My BMI is below average!  I am 5'2.5" and weigh 143.8, which puts me at 25.9  I never exepcted to hit that mark!  Now if we're just taking height into account, I've always been below average, I'm a shorty.  But not by as much as I would have thought.

At 5'2" and 129lbs with a BMI of 23.6 (considered in the normal range for BMI), I feel a little too thin I guess.  There are times when I feel too thin and others when I'm still obviously the "big" girl.  When you spend all your time surrounded by size 2s with concave stomachs and thighs that don't even know each other (much less haveing ever rubbed together), then your perception gets a bit skewed.

BUT when I look at ONLY me without comparison, I'd like a few more curves.  I know the only way I'm going to accomplish that is by bulding up some more muscle...which will make me heavier.

As far as blending in...I know I do because no one here believes I was ever fat.  I have to show them pictures (which are up all over my house) of me fat.  When I walk through the store, men do double takes.  That sounds vain, but it's the truth.  Not all men, or even most, but there's at least one soldier or guy who hits on me or stumbles all over himself because he's doing a double take every single time I go to the store.  I've got to where I don't pay attention to it.  My BFF visited last week and she couldn't stop laughing at this soldier who literally tripped all over himself because he walked past and then tried to look back again.  She was like "that guy was totally checking you out!".  I told her that it just happens, ignore it.

I choose to think that the men around here are just horny because I know I'm not that good looking.

At 5'11" and a smidge,  I am a heck of a lot taller than the average woman. Weiging in at 194 my bmi is currently 27.1. I cannot wait to be in the normal range, only a few BMI points to go :) I suppose according to these standards however I will never be average :p
