Whaddya think of this monstrocity?

Apparently thyis recipe is all the rage on the internet.  Click here for full story.  Personally I can't be mad at anything with that much bacon in it.  Just before I die...I want someone to force feed me this.

Good grief Nik, where do you find these things?  My first reaction was "what the...", then it was "ewwww".  Now I'm like "how much protein is in a serving????"

I was just going to Yahoo to check my e-mail!!!  And there it was right on the homepage.  2 lbs. of bacon it uses.  Looks like a heart attack on a log to me but if I was 87 and had plenty of grandchildren to carry forth my legacy, I would most certainly indulge in it.

2 pounds of bacon???

Where do I sign up??

Only if it is center-cut, maple-smoked, of course.

That reminds me of "turducken."  Anything that starts with the word "turd" can't be good for me!

I'd rather have either or.... Or would I?

You know, though, my mind went to how we could make this RNY friendly... Turkey bacon and chicken or turkey sausage would help. We could also use sugar free barbecue sauce, for those of us who dump.

Eaten in moderation, other than the high sodium, it probably wouldn't be TOO bad with no pork.

I bet the DSers could eat this!

. . .my mind went to how we could make this RNY friendly...

Wendy, you are too funny.

"Hmmmmmm, how can we make heart-attack-on-a-plate RNY-friendly???"

It wouldn't be a heart attack on a plate if it was MUCH lower in fat, and we only ate a small slice of it!

See, I'm all about eating GOOD stuff, and sharing it with my family.... My hubby would love this.

Turkey bacon should be illegal...or at least be considered an expletive...

I make my own pork sausage.  I got a good recipe from "The Biggest Loser" cookbook.  It uses really lean ground pork and seasonings.  It's pretty good.  But I couldn't substitute pork bacon.  It's a line I'm just not willing to cross!

Lets just say this and get it over and done with.

The words 'turkey' and 'bacon' should only be written with a comma in between, as in "turkey, bacon".

It should never be a single noun.

Have I made myself clear?
