I use this one from The Vitamin Shoppe, and usually sprinkle it with Splenda and cinnamon. Never more than 2 tbsp a day-- lots of yummy (beneficial) fat here!

Seriously though I need to stop being so lazy and check the PB recalls...my kids are feenin' and I'm too scared to buy something for fear it'd be the wrong thing. But then supermarkets will yank recalls from the shelves right? I'm so ignorant about this stuff!
I have about 3 tbsp of Power Butter left and then I am getting my Power PB!!!
RNY Gastric Bypass 1-8-08 350/327/200 (HW/SW/CW). I spend most of my time playing with my food over at Bariatric Foodie - check me out!
Thanks for the info on the Power PB, I'm gonna see if I can find it in the nearest Vitamin Shoppe store, if not I'll order some online. I'll remember not more than 2 T. a day, but I do love PB on some cinnamon sugar or caramel rice cakes.
Thanks again!
Flo
So here's the plan for the day...
Commute -- protein hot cocoa
Arrive at work -- fake latte
Breakfast -- yogurt and granola
Lunch -- tuna casserole and salad
Snack -- (maybe?) apple and cheese (lately that tuna casserole has filled me up for much longer than a normal lunch and I haven't wanted snacks this week)
Dinner -- my plan is a BD Bowl w/ chicken, shrimp, scallops, edameme and some assorted veggies with the Asain Black Bean Sauce and I'll get lettuce leaf wraps instead of tortillas. The planned bowl comes out to 15oz with 65g protein and 580 calories, but there's no way I can eat all that, so planning on half in the calories below - I'll adjust my log when I get home based on what I really eat. :-)
Calories: 1,197 | Fat: 39.7 | Carbs: 103.2 (20g fiber) | Protein: 119.4 |
I forgot my vitamins this morning - Bad Pam! - so will have to survive with the bare minimum for now. I keep calcium and multi's at work, but not all the other stuff. I hate when I do stupid stuff like this.
I also got my body fat percentage scale thingie last night. It's a pretty awesome little toy. According to my calculations, if I want to hit my targeted 20% body fat, I need to lose a mere 38 pounds. Not bad, huh?
My Recipe Index is packed full of yumminess!

last night I had a salad (a bit too much of it) and afterwords I was in so much pain.....2 darvacet later, foamies, etc... finally went to bed at midnight. The pain passed. O well, need to go back on my anti-ulcer diet - but it is so bland, no spices, nothing raw, nothing sour (and I love my pickles, and lemons, and grapefruits, and other fruits...

So back to easy diet:
B: teas + ulcer medications
S: Kay naturals chips (they tasted good, but then my tummy was hurting..)
S: coffee + milk (I needed pick me up, f* the ulcer)
L: Isopure (w/ ho****er), 1/2 banana
S: HP cereal, 1/2 banana
S: Isopure
D: who knows...
I really need to get better. I have meetings all next week, so I will have to eat normal (read: "restaurant") food all week (lunched and dinners) and need to be in good enough shape not to be in pain so much... (I guess steamed veggies and fish- here I come...)

"Failure is not falling down, It is not getting up once you fell... So pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again...."
B: 2tbsp oatmeal made with skim milk
S: Protein Shake
L: 2tbsp tuna with lowfat mayo
S: Protein Shake
D: 2tbsp of low sugar spagetti sauce with ricotta
All day: lots and lots of water :)
I'm very new at this stage so any suggestions are welcome!!!

Last time I was in this type of pain - they did cat scans that did not show anything, ultrasound that show enlarged gallbladder with sludge. So they removed the gallbladder and fixed the "invisible" hernia and untwisted (undetected by cat-scan) my insides.
2 weeks after my gallbladder surgery, when I started eating again - same horrible pain. So we think that it may be ulcer. I went on a ulcer friendly diet - for over a month, and I was very careful what I ate. I was feeling OK. This week - the pain is back again.... I was eating more fresh veggies, drinking more coffee, eating fruits, so... either is fiber (getting stuck) or... my ulcer is bad again (why, why....). Anyway, I need to be careful next few days, and see how it goes.
I am going on a trip next week (that I should not cancel if I can...) and once i am back and I still hurt - they will do the scope (I hate going under again - makes me so sick....), if not, - the problem resolved by itself. FYI - HPylori test was negative....
Thanks for worrying.... I appreciate that.
