Yesterday the weight room was super crowded and I didn't want to cheat the kids out of swimming (they need to be active too!) so I did 35 minutes on the treadmill doing interval. I got up to 7.0 mph which I did for a full 90 seconds!!! I felt like someone punched me in the gut! I checked out the websites you posted yesterday and one recommends a treadmill workout. From what I did yesterday I can tell I'm not *there* yet to do the exact specs on that workout, but it does give me a goal.
Today is weight training. I've also decided I need to keep doing crunches. I'm seeing results. I need to get a flexibility ball though so I can work my lower abs as well.
Love the feeling of getting stronger and leaner!
EDITED TO ADD: Oh Kathy, I also have to tell you I found the perfect gym buddy! We met at support group and go to the gym together at least twice a week. Perfect example of when you know you have a good gym partner. I was doing interval and he was doing just walking and he said, "you know what? next time you take it up in speed I'm gonna go up with you." We both did a good sprint at 6.5 mph for 90 seconds. That was the fastest he'd ever gone!!! So that's been a blessing in every way because if it were not for him some days I'd say "to heck with it, I'm staying home."

I have to tell you, finding a gym buddy is just the BEST
You will support each other, grow and get the best workout. What is great if there isa day you just don't feel it, your buddy will say come on let's do it
You are such an inspiration girl, keep up the great job you are doing
Take care,
Kathy

I chased my cat around the house - she stole me bluetooth and was running around with it - but when I would stop chasing her - she would start chewing on it so I had no choice... and no it was not funny - though she thought is was...
After that I did not have much time, so I only did abs crunches, 15 min on treadmill and 5 times up and down on my stairs. Not too bad... but hope this evening I can do some strength training.
