Tell me about this... where do I get it? My grocery store doesn't carry it, that I know of, and I don't have a Trader Joe's near me.  I take it that it's very protein-rich and low on carbs? It sounds yummy, too.

My grocery has it in the natural foods cold case, not with the 'regular' yogurt. I have seen it side by side with the regular stuff at other markets. I think it depends on the store.

I'm told that Wally World carries it also.

IMHO, it is NOT particularly yummy. . . because you are going to buy the 0% fat, plain stuff and doctor it with stuff like SF syrups, splenda, SF jams, etc. But it does have tons of protein in it.

Oh, duh, I forgot to check the health foods section. Thanks! And if not there, I'll go to Wally.

Thanks for the heads-up on taste, too!

I live in Virginia Beach too and here is what I have found:

- Food Lion carries the Fage brand it in the health food section, but doesn't always have the 0% (the Salem Road store & the Indpendence blvd near Cinema Cafe).
- Farm Fresh carries the Fage brand with the regular yogurt (Haygood store & the Independence store near Target).
- Harris Teeter carries the Fage and the Oikos brand with the regular yogurt (Va Bch Blvd near Sam's Club)
- I can not find any greek yogurt at Wal-Mart (at least at the Princess Anne store)

I can't wait until our Trader Joe's opens this spring!!!

Farm Fresh is where I go and didn't see it, but I go to the one around the corner from me in Kempsville.  I'll have to check if my store keeps it somewhere else.

I was thinking HT MUST have it; I'll go check it out when I'm down there later, thanks.

And where are we getting a TJs??????? That's AWESOME!!

My grocery store (Shopper's Food Warehouse) doesn't sell it but the Giant by the YMCA does so I get it there.  It's in the regular ol' dairy section.

If you find it, do NOT buy the flavored kind. Way too high in sugar.  Get the plain.  In and of itself the plain tastes kinda like sour cream.  You have to add things to it to change that.  You can go saltier w/ onion dip mix or you can go sweet with SF syrups, fruit or Splenda.  It's really rich and creamier than American yogurt.  I like just the plain from time to time but I'm weird like that.  I also mix it with SF hazelnut syrup and Kashi GoLean Crunch (keeps things moving if you know what I mean).

I, personally, don't like it either. I buy the Dannon Light and Fit Carb and Sugar Control. (there is a big difference between this and the regular Dannon Light and Fit). I add 2 scoops of Beneprotein which makes a total of

4 ounces
100 Calories
1.5 g Fat
3 g Carbs
2 g Sugar
17 g Protein

If I add 1/2 cup of Kashi Go Lean for crunch that adds another 7 g of Protein :)

Greek yogurt is nothing else but a strained plain yogurt that has not be homogenized.

if you can buy it - fine, if not -  you can make it - google "how to make Greek yogurt" and you will find a lot of recipe for that.  Some - you start from milk, other - you can use a good quality (health food store) plain yogurt and make 1 cup of Greek yogurt from plain yogurt.

FYI: instead of cloth, I use SS coffee filter (cone shape), or you can find and buy yogurt strainers... (yes, they make them).

good luck..
