Do you gain weight when you start an exercise program?

Ok so question......I have just reach goal and have went below a little...so If I excersise now (which I have not since surgery at all) will I gain or will I continue to lose? I dont want to lose anymore but would like to buff up a little....????

Weight loss is a pretty simple equation-- if you spend more then you consume, you will lose weight. If you want to buff up a little but not gain fat, you may want to increase your intake to correspond with your activity.

Thank you!!! I needed to hear/read this!!! I have put off really truly exercising because of not wanting to gain or have a stall.....(I know stupid lame ass excuse) I have recently started back up....and when or if  I gain or stay the same..I will read this.... And stop being a dork and obsessing about a freak'n number on the scale!!!!!!

Ignore the scale and do what you know is right for the machine-- that's my advice. Because that stuff you're losing when you don't exercise-- is, in part, muscle. Besides making life harder, and being less healthy will also actually slow your metabolism long term.
