Hello everyone,
I am just over 7 months post-op and have started with dizzy spells I had one so bad this morning that I blacked out and fell onto the other side of my living room. I am forgetting things lately. I wasn't sure if anyone else has experienced this. I am going to the doctor for it. They first told me it was my vitamins but I am starting to think its something else.. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
~Jen~

I suffer from "dizzy spells" too... in my case, they're caused by very low blood pressure which I developed after surgery (my usual BP is around 90/60, sometimes lower).
How is your blood pressure?

How has your blood pressure been lately?  I am not a doctor but this can happen if your blood pressure is to low and you move quickly (like standing up or blending over and coming back up).  The same thing can happen if your heart beat rhythm is a bit to slow.  I have a friend suffering from this right now.
Have you ever had vertigo issues in the past?
I used to have vertigo issues when I would eat to much salt.  I would retain fluid and it would affect my ear canal area causing me to have head spins and difficult to walk cuz the room would be spinning.  Sometimes I would get very sick to my stomach as well.
Yes, see your doctor.  Best wishes to you.  Hopefully you can get er fixed.

It could be bloodpressure, vitamin deficiency, or even dehydration. How's your water intake?

I have these every few months, but I'm pre-op. What I have is called neurocardiogenic syncope, where the blood flow is too fast/slow to my limbs and confuses my brain telling it to shut down. This causes me to pass out or feel dizzy. I saw an arrhythmia specialist and his resolution was "drink more water and increase salt intake".

Hope you feel better!

Add a little salt to your diet...if you haven't, it might help.  Here are some things high in potassium...may help also: oranges, tomatoes, raisins, spinach, lima beans (Wendy's Chili), bananas, yogurt, broccoli.

I'm pre-op, but my biggest signal that I've forgotten to give myself my monthly B12 shot in a timely manner is vertigo. I can be sitting in a chair and the room just starts spinning.  Just make sure they do lots of tests, including all of the ones mentioned here.  I hope it turns out to be something simple to fix!
