Communion?

I didn't take Catholic communion until I was on soft foods.

I received the body of Christ at the hospital within 24 hours of surgery. It was amazing to know the first food I had was the bread of life! I only received a very small portion (perhaps the size on a pencil eraser) of the host and let it dissolve in my mouth. I should mention, though, that my surgeon has patients on pured solids on day two.
