I brew decaf tea @ home and when water tasted bland I found out that tea worked. I have recently turned to water though-adding a little squeeze of lemon juice for taste- b/c I found out that the water refreshes more to me..but I still love my decaf tea...
I am 2 years out and was told if it is decaff it can count as your water intake...all docs are different...It has not stopped or stalled my weight lose at all....I love my tea.

The nutritionist here does allow some caffiene at a certain point post op - so check with them. 16 oz is a lot less caffiene than you'll find in coffee. Make sure you add lots of Ice - more water.
