My weird thing has carried over into my family....we lived in Korea for 10 years.  Koreans remove their shoes upon entering a home and bow when greeting people.  WE STILL DO THIS!

If I see someone I know at the grocery store I bow...YEP!!  It's not a full, "bend at the waist" bow but I do bow.  It's a habit now.  I go to the doc's office ~ I bow.  A "greeter" at a restaurant ~ I bow.

My fellow Americans think I'm weird because they don't know I lived in Asia, so I am the bowing red head in the crowd..LOL

More a habit than anything else... I have to shake the milk carton (even if it's soy milk) before I pour the milk.

I acquired the habit when I was growing up and we got our milk straight from the source: unpasteurized and un-homogenized (we had beef cattle, but our neighbour had dairy cattle, so we got it from them).  Unless you wanted a big blob of cream on your cereal, you had to shake the container to mix the cream back in with the milk - and the containers were huge 2 1/2 gallon glass jugs - no wonder I have great arm muscles even today!

It's been 22 years since I left home, but I still gotta shake the darn milk container!

OMG!!! I do that too.  I always shake the milk container before I pour a glass, even if I just did it two minutes ago.  I'm sure you are right, comes from when we got "fresh" milk off the farm.  Funny thing is now I drink skim milk, there's no fat to float at the top anyway.

Oh I have a lot of weird things I do. I do the car locking thing twice- always. I have to do it the second time just to hear the beep to make sure it locked.

I organize the clothes in my closet by color- it makes it easier to find, but I stress if something is out of place and not in the right color section.

I have a routine in the morning when I wake up where I lean out of bed, grab my dog out of his bed and cuddle with him for 5 minutes or so, then put him back down in his bed and get up. I’ve done this for about 2 years and if I miss a morning, I swear the whole rest of my day is bad. Is that weird? Lol BTW he’s a Chihuahua so it’s not like he’s huge- he’s 8 pounds or so, depending on the day. I just like to have my cuddling time with him- puts me in a good mood for the rest of the day. And he actually gets all worked up if I don’t- he gets all weird and moody.

When I read this I laughed out loud ! I just had to post my weird thing here.
My hubby calls it my symmetrical crap. I have to have 2 of just about everything. If I have a picture on the right side of the medicine cabinet, I have to have one on the right. maybe not the same exact picture but one close to it.

Another one is straightness. If one picture is not straight ,I have been known to rearrange them all. Even if it is not my house.I have been told by family, not to come if I was gonna clean and rearrange things. I am a clutter phobe as well as a re arranger .Everything has to have a place. If it doesn't then one does not need it

It's all good...that day in Sunday school when they were talking about Noah's arc, you were just taking really good notes...that's all.

Hmmmm, well....my paper money has to be straight and in order. First ones...all facing correctly, then fives, tens and so on. I use to have a silver jewelry business with my best friend. She thought it was hilarious to go into the draw and turn the money in all different directions.

But I guess my weirdest, and I've been doing it since I was a little girl, is I play with my eyelashes. Mostly my right eye, with my right hand. I don't do it if I'm wearing mascara. I just like the way it feels to run the tip of my finger across my eyelashes...and I do it mostly when I'm tired or upset about something. Sometimes when I'm bored. So of course the lashes on my right eye are a little thinner than on my left. I've made a conscious effort to quit....but it's like biting your nails I guess...usually I'm not even aware I'm doing it.

I cannot stand to have even the smallest little spot on an article of clothing.  If I spill anything on myself... I will be obsessed with looking at the spot all day until I can get changed.  Even a dot of something will drive me crazy.  It even bugs me if someone else has something on their clothes.

At work, we have stantions and ropes to help keep a line of people organized.  People are always moving the stantions or playing with the ropes and it drives me batty.  I have to go out into the lobby and fix them constantly.  My co-workers even comment on how I am so obsessed with those dang ropes.

I chew on the inside of my mouth/lips.   I have done it since I was a kid and there are tons of pictures in the world with my pushing my lips around to bite them.  I look stupid and it can't be good for me, but I can't seem to stop.  I wonder if I can count that towards my daily protein? Ewww.......

Kelly S, I do the exact same thing. I am always trying to stop, but I can't seem to go more than a couple days+. It gets worse if I'm upset about something. I wondered the same thing about the protein. Then it grossed me out that I would think of such a thing.
