Interesting topic!
The change holder in my van must be filled with the coin heads facing forward. I also have my paper $ in order and with faces forward.
When I sleep, no matter what the temperature, my feet and hands MUST be covered.

I know I am OCD.  I don't need no stinking diagnosis.

I have several of the quirks mentioned.  Paper money in numerical order, all faced, all in the same direction.  I have worked with tons of cash and it must always be orderly.

The most odd thing I do that no one has been brave enough to mention...yet.  If I have dirty dishes, they must be on the right side of the sin****il they are washed or loaded into the dishwasher.  Nothing dirty can be left on the left side of the sink.  It is extremely rare I will leave something in the sink either.........right side only.  Friends used to move them just to be funny.  So I rearranged their kitchen the next time I was there.

Paper rolls, (toilet paper and paper towels) must roll over the top and I will fix it anywhere I am if you have done this task incorrectly.

All clothes must hang in the same direction with like things.  Sleeveless blouses together, short-sleeved blouses together, long-sleeved, sweaters, jackets, pants, skirts, dresses, etc  All shirts and dresses must be 'faced' to the left and all hangars go over the top, never backwards.

And so help me God, your life is in jeopardy if you don't use up something before you open another one of the same thing.  Condiments, bread, water, supplies, etc.  A wee bit of me just slips into insanity over that.

My dishes have to be in the left sink...the right stays empty for rinsing and then the drainer is on the far right (if you've ever seen my cooking vids you'd have seen the set up).

Also I cannot lay in bed and watch tv if the dresser drawers are not closed correctly or if there is a piece of fabric sticking up. And if there is even a piece of lint on the floor...no peace of mind for me!

I'm SOOOO glad we don't live near each other. The earth would collapse under the weight of our collective neuroses. ;)

I am twitching now, reading most of these - I am OCD but I live with people who don't care if anything's in order or not.

Some days it drives me out of my mind...

I, too, am a toilt paper freak.  It must come over the top, and I will "fix" it this way anywhere I go.

I'm sure I have other oddities, but the one that really sticks in my head is... my ribbon.  I always have a thin piece of ribbon.  I run it between my fingernails and my finger.  I don't know why I do this, and I seem to do it more when I am anxious and upset.  My husband has noticed this (how could he not) and actually buys me rolls of ribbon so I don't run out.  I have it in my car, in my purse, in my desk drawer, attached to my key chain, and I've been known to sew some on my jammies if they don't have ribbon on them.  The ribbon must also be a dark color.  Black, brown, navy blue, dark red, etc.  It cannot be a light colored ribbon such as pink, yellow, white, etc.  Love the ribbon.

I love these random poll of the week questions.
I am the opposite of OCD-whatever that is.
I fold things differently every time I do laundry.
I leave cabinet doors open.
I have keys all sorts of ways.
I sleep at random times.

I would drive most of you insane.

I have both-- they're actually different subsets of the same compulsions. What you have is called not developing "habits of mind." I am the same way with most things-- no set routine, no set times, etc....and I think it's because if I start to organize things I can't stop, so in some facets of my life I just say, "To hell with it."

Drives my cat crazy though-- she never knows when it's snack time!

Could also be that on the Myer's Briggs scale you're a P as opposed to a J.  Scary part... I'm a P (loves spontaneity, hates schedules, loves to keep things 'open' etc)... but I'm a certified project manager.  I can schedule... I just really, really prefer not to.

I have a friend who is an extreme J - not a single spontaneous bone in his body.

I'm pretty sure I am a PBJ. ;)

Seriously though-- no, I don't care about spontanaiety in general (although it'd be great if I could have spontaneous food just one more day in my life, but i never really will), I just don't really develop habits naturally. It's neurological-- I'm on the autistic spectrum and have some extra brain waves that do funny stuff. Fun at parties, though.
