robitussin cough and cold okay to take?

 i have a terrible chest cough and i know we are limited to medications. i usually take the tylenol cold medicine but i am out. is robitussin alright to take?

As long as there's no asprin, naproxen, ibuprofen in it, you should be safe.

If you have something with guifenasin, that's the key for clearing out congestion and mucus. It's a mucus thinner (expectorant). It will make you cough a bit more, but they will be productive coughs.

My surgeon said okay ... also I think Walgreens makes one that is clear and is sugar free.. Hope you feel better!

Look in the diabetic section  - I know that Robitussin makes a sugar-free product but I don't know which formula it is.
