OMG THANK YOU! I swear this is exactly what I was saying! Why it sounds sane coming from you I cannot guess. But all of a sudden I'm cast as a pizza hater. My God all my point has been, is to stress eating it in moderation!

I enjoy reading how we can learn to incorporate the foods we love into our lives while sticking with our programs.  Thats my objective.  To maintain a normal bmi without living on dietetic substitutes alone for the rest of my life.

Part of this mission is to learn how to have a little pizza and not submitt to gluttony, bingeing, grazing, or frequent consumption.  Its a struggle but its a necessary hurdle for long term success and to enjoy life as a thin foodie at heart.

To the self righteoues pizza is bad school of thought, just don't eat it.  For some of us its not just about wl but normalizing our dietary lifestyle.  We will reinvent our food relatioship and enjoy!

I spent NINE YEARS getting to wls and the insurance approval was only six weeks.  In that time I learned a whole lot about how I got obese and how to find my way back to just fat, lol.

If I could have learned squat in 9 months I'd have the Fobi pouch back in the 90's before Roseanne Barr (oops, just Roseanne) had her's done.  The way I see it you beat me to it by seven years.

I am way late to this throw down.

First, congrats on huge successful choices to enjoy something in moderation for your life.

But I have to tell you.  I float in and out of this forum FOR THIS VERY REASON.  As a post op success story maintaining at nearly four years post surgery, I grow weary of the " YOU CAN NOT EVER DO THIS" and the replies of "YOU ARE NOT THE BOSS OF ME" approach.

Zealous people must surely have to eat some crow along the way.  I love love love the passion each of you apply to your own journey.  The support given on this type of forum is monumental to our wisdom for our own paths.  But PULEEZZEEE watch when you start becoming so righteous on any side of the equation.  If you find yourself being offended by someone else's food plan.............step back and breathe.  It is not your place.

So at the risk of being self righteous because I think I am successful as a continued post op far longer than the one, two or three year folks........... I eat a wide range of food.  I avoid certain foods because they are CRACK cocaine to me.  I did and continue to eat any meat product I choose from the beginning, like CHICKEN, when I was told over and over not to choke to death, never to eat skin, etc.

I continue to come to OH forums for support, measuring, accountability and friendship.  And some recipes from time to time.  I hope you will keep coming back too.  But don't be surprised if I giggle at the topics that become polarizing.

Let me pour another glass of wine.  (That should create a firestorm or two!!!)
