I ate pineapple for the first time about two months out and eat it regularly.  I dont dump on anything expect ice cream so I can tolerate stuff that you might not can.

I think I had pineapple for the first time at a couple months out.  It's never bothered me at all.

I actually tried fresh pineapple today for the first time since surgery.  I had 3 small pieces with some cottage cheese.  Sat fine with me and tasted sooooo good!

In my old life, I ate fresh pineapple like crazy.  My hubbers gets me a pineapple each year for Xmas. That's how much I love it.

I am 4 1/2 mos. out of surgery, and I eat cottage cheese w/ 2 tablespoons of Libby's No Sugar Added (sweetened w/ Splenda) every other day.

It's not the same as fresh, but it satisfies my love of pineapple at this stage in the game.
I count protein, fluid ounces, and my blessings everyday.

i've been having canned pineapple (in juice) with cottage cheese for breakfast off and on since about my 2nd month, never had any problem with it.  i think the canned is more tender than fresh though.

RNY 6/16/09 - Last weighed 10/27/2011 weighed 151 lost 52 pounds  66% toward personal goal  of 125, six pounds from unofficial unpretentious goal of 145lbs......basically very happy.   boo-rah, RNY!

Me too.  I have eaten pineapple since VERY early out and I also drink pineapple juice a lot.  I don't dump but I do get reactive hypo however fruit and I seem to be friends :)

My surgeon says no pineapples until 6 months post op because they are so stringy. Also the level of sugars in them are higher than some other fruits, so you're risking the chance of dumping. Be careful.
