I am having the same problem. I went to a waterpark the other day and couldn't enjoy the slides with my daughter because the pain was too intense. I even have bruising back there. And when I'm laying down I can feel it and it just bothers me. I saw an episode of big medicine once where a woman had to have plastic surgery to fix the prob. He had to go in and actually I guess "get rid" of some of the extra bone there. I'm going to try exercise to strengthen that area but I don't know if it's too late or not.

Don't put a question mark where God has put a period!

I had a lot of back pain after surgery and when my Dr OK'ed me to see my chiropractor, I did and got re-aligned.  he told me a lot of WLS patients have more pain while losing weight because of that loss of cushion and to stretch and sit and sleep correctly will help.  I got a Wii fit and do a lot of the stretching exercises for my back, and I sleep with a pillow between my legs or under my knees if i am on my back.  That seems to help me a lot.  I still have some pain, but not as bad as it was. Walking helps a ton too!

Where do I get a ****yx pillow? I need one. I've been bringing a pillow with me when I go anywhere and when I'm home I sit on soft cushy furniture. Sitting in the car without a pillow is the worse and I have trouble driving with a big old pillow under my butt.

I;ve been doing butt muscle building exercises lately. Hope that works.

I got my pillow on Amazon. Pretty good deal too - I went to a medical supply store and they wanted nearly double the price of amazon.

Oh...now I'm scared. I broke my tailbone in Feb. I've lost 40 pounds pre-op so far. The pain is getting worse. I can't sit through church service without shifting cheeks and then eventualy getting up. Going from a sitting position to standing is the worst.

I'd start using a ****yx pillow pre-emptively.... not sure if I'd use one pre-emptively if it would have ever gotten really bad.

I broke my tailbone as a kid and thn ended up at about 19 with a ??pylonoidal?? cyst. Had surgery, it was AWFUL. Now I am REALLY feeling it again, and worried. saw the title of this post and went YES!!! Yep, me too.
