How far out before you can have tortilla chips and salsa?

I'm guessing at about 6 months, no because I couldn't eat them, but that is about the time my appetite returned and I actually wanted some. I have to be really careful in Mexican restaurants to not over do the chips and salsa, or I will have no room for my dinner when it arrives. So even though I may want to eat a bowl of chips and salsa, I usually will have just one or 2, just to get the taste. It is hard to get out of old habits!

I am 10 weeks out and tried chips/salsa at week 8 while at a Mexican restaurant. I limited myself to just two and nibbled the chips to get the smallest bites possible.

I'm completely surprised at all the different times when people are told they can have different things.  I was told 'Saltine' crackers could be done from day one, as long as I let them break down in my mouth first..

Tortilla chips, however? .. I think that it's something that requires a LOT of break down -- plus they're generally oily (which doesn't help).
