As others have said, it depends on the nutritional content/ingredients... but I can tell you that I've had at least 8 different types of chili since my surgery, and I've had zero issues. I love chili... I'm just really careful to eat it somewhat mild at this point.

The chili was delicious, no problems, the nutritional facts were almost identical to James Coney Island with out beans. { POSTED ABOVE} The only symptom I have is the burps! Which I figured would come later, gonna take my acid reducer and I should feel okay. Thanks to all of you for posting. And for those who wanted to know from Michigan, it was Gus's Coney Island.

A Coney dog with chili is one of my favorite meals out!

I've learned to sit in the same booth so I often get the same waitress and she no longer looks at me funny when I order a chili dog - loaded, with no bun ... AND ... I have her bring a box to the table so that I can portion-off half of it before I start eating!

LOL ... when I ordered it the first time, we had quite a conversation, that when something like this, "You want a chili dog, with chili, onions, mustard, and cheese ... but no bun?   Like just sitting alone on a plate, with no chips, or nothin'?   ... You know, our buns are fresh, they deliver them every morning ..."  Hahahaha!!
