What did they give you?  I was recently given Flexeril aka cyclobenzaprine, a muscle relaxant, and it is NOT an NSAID.

I have taken Robaxin aka methocarbamol before too, and pretty sure that isn't either.  You would have to ask a pharmacist to be sure, but I am pretty sure that most, if not all, muscle relaxants wouldn't be NSAIDS.  They are each a class of drugs in their own.

If you are really concerned though, and don't want to take the word of a message board (I am confident about my knowledge of the two I listed, but still, not a medical professional!), look up a Walgreens or CVS with a 24 hour pharmacy and ask the pharmacist.

Sorry, missed you gave the name of the drug.  I have heard of Baclofen, but never taken it, so I can't say for sure.  Muscle relaxants are often given in conjunction with NSAIDs, so I still don't think a muscle relaxant in itself is going to be one.  I don't know if there are muscle relaxant/NSAID combos though.

Muscle relaxants are not NSAIDs... I've taken Robaxin, Flexeril AND Baclofen since surgery without issue.  If you need 'em, go ahead and take the Baclofen... they shouldn't cause you any issues and hopefully they will provide you with some relief.  Good luck and hope you're feeling better soon...

Baclofen is not an NSAID.  It contains an anti-spasmodic agent for the muscle spams.

Yay!! I'm SO glad that my flexeril isn't something I'm going to have to get rid of! Getting rid of motrin and aleeve is gonna be hard enough!
