do stool softeners make you feel queasy?

I've been taking a stool softener in the morning and evening for 3 days now. And now all of a sudden, starting the first day on them my stomach is super queasy and unsettled. Even drinking water makes me bubbly and nauseous.

Can anyone tell me what's up?

Yes...I take Dulcolax, 3 at a time.  If I have food on my stomach, it is not as bad.  The problem with that is I have to remember to take them 30 minutes after a meal when I can drink again.  I try to wait longer than 30 minutes to drink following eating.  I think if I took them in the morning I would be very nauseous.

This exact thing happened to me yesterday.  I took Colace too long after I ate and was nauseous with in, what felt like, minutes.  I felt queasy all night and until early this AM.  I drank some milk and ate Tums and the feeling finely went away.

While I am not glad you experience this, I am glad you posted because I was wondering if I was alone!  Sadly, I guess I am not!

Thanks!
