No desire to drink fluids
I can easily go all day without drinking and then I have to force myself to get most of my liquid in during a few hours in the evening. I don't care for water at the moment so I drink decaff coffee most of the day. I just try to be very concious of it and always have something nearby to drink. I talked to my Nut about this and she said I can drink the decaff teas and coffees and count it. I do try to get some water in but some days it doesn't happen (like I just went camping and it was cold so water wasn't on the agenda). I was this way prior to surgery and it's a hard thing to change.
I did notice that my NSA hot chocolate went down easily the other day (and I was able to mix in some unflavored protein without it curdling for a nice protein boost). I haven't tried warm tea, but I have great flavors that I've been saving for winter. Think I'll crack open a box and give those a try too. Thanks!
I think part of the problem is that when I drink I almost immediately feel bloated, sloshy, sitting around in a damp bathing suit uncomfortable feeling which makes it hard to continue drinking. I am managing 48 ounces but it takes me from 7am until midnight to get it down (and one day it was nearly 6pm before I realized I hadn't had anything to drink since 7am, so I stayed up really late attempting to at least hit 32 ounces that particular day). I'll try adding in a popcicle here and there and see if that helps get my volume up. Thanks!
