protein drink/myoplex/pure protein?

Hi,

I have a question, I bought EAS Mypolex shake in a bottle. It is awesome and had 25 grams of protein. I also bought Pure Protein shakes with 23g protein. I like them because they are ready made and easy to grab in the hectic morning.  Does anyone know about them? Are they "good" for us?  i got them on sale so they came out to $1 per bottle which is fine  with me. Thanks

I drink the Pure Protein cans that have 35g and love them...well as far as protein drinks go.  I get them at Trader Joes and I had them do a bulk order for me.  They are $2.29 a can, but to me...well worth it. 

I don't think there's anything wrong with them. I think you save a lot of money and gain a little more control over the amount of protein and calories when mixing powders (not to mention control over the taste!), but I just saw Pure Protein on sale at Target last week and picked up a 4-pack for the same reason you have, to grab when things are hectic.

I really like the taste of the Atkins shakes, but they have less protein and a couple more carbs, so I buy them when they're on sale and grab them only when I'm in a rush. I'm still early out and eating so little that I don't mind if the shake have a few more calories, since I never get that many anyway. My surgeon said his rule is 20 grams of protein for every 100 calories, so I check labels pretty carefully.

I use the myoplex. I get the myoplex original. There are 42 grams of protein in a 17 oz carton/bottle. And that's good for me right now because I am able to eat protein also. So one shake a day is all I need. When I first started I used the 25 gram bottles. It is a little pricey, but I ould rather be able to tolerated it and pay a little more.

I use these all the time and love them! Never had a problem with them and have had good results with them!

I like myoplex too, you can buy it by the case at sams club, much cheaper that way.
