Protein smells

I'm headed to GNC (my first trip in - frankly it is an intimidating store for someone who is overweight) to get my protein on!  Wish me luck :)

All I can tell you is keep trying. I don't have any problem with Unjury so I think you're having an extra strong reaction right now. I do think the sports bottle is a good idea. Have you tried the Isopure ready to drink at GNC? They sell it by the bottle so you don't have to commit to a whole case.
Good luck, but do keep trying. Tastes/smells change and also you have to have your protein or your body will start muscle wasting and the heart is a muscle. I always ask folks if they remember Karen Carpenter who sang in the 80s. She was anorexic and died from a heart problem/starvation.
Your taste/smell will get better I'm sure but in meanwhile do what you're doing and hold your nose if that's what it takes. It helped me to think of it not as food but as medicine and to use the smallest volume of water (don't like milk) to get it to a drinkable consistency. I'll be thinking of you and hoping this gets better. Also, mixing into yogurt helps some people.

Greek yogurt ( Fage or Chobani) are very high in protein and make a nice change. Chobani has 18 gms/6 oz, Fage either the same or slightly less.

Just got back from GNC and the guy was wicked nice!  I told him I just had RNY and needed some help getting in protein.  He was totally cool about it and said they have a ton of people come in there all the time who have had RNY also.  That made me feel better right off the bat.

I ended up getting the protein shaker thing and 1 bottle of isopure zero carb premade blue raspeberry to try it.  He said they are waiting for samples of stuff so didn't have any now, but to come back in next week and I could try a bunch of stuff out.

I ended up being able to tolerate the isopure drink and my plan is to drink one of these over the course of the day every day.  That will give me 40g of protein alone.  I think this will help A LOT!  Liquids and protein I can tolerate :)

Thanks for all the advice.  I am still on a mission to find a shake I like that had enough protein . . .
