are YOU married to a Chubby Chaser?
That is kind of a question that gets a double ended sword answer, I hope that you husband is awsome and supportive about it. The spouces of wls patients has lots of stories related to your question, but I warn you that most of them are not pretty, but I am sure your husband it a much better person than the asses on there.
Well... my first husband was a chubby chaser. I didn't know it at the time, but his new wife is even bigger than I was. When I was with him, my weight never came up and I thought that was because he loved me no matter what weight I was at... In the end the truth of the situation was that he just didn't care how fat I got because he liked it!
We divorced for reasons not having anything to do with weight- mine or his...
Meanwhile, my current husband is not a chubby chaser. When I started talking about surgery and began the process toward the surgery, he said he couldn't possibly be more attracted to me because he loves me so much, etc... But, as the weight has come off, we have found that statement to be not the truth. He seems much more attracted to me now than he was before, so that is working out well for us!! :D
Still, I think there are aspects of my shrinking that he is ignoring or just not dealing with. I think it's always important to pay attention to what's going on with your spouse as these major changes are happening...
I have learned that while I do like my men "big", my impression of what the appropriate bigness is has changed quite a bit since the surgery and I imagine will continue to do so... That scares me because I don't want to look at my husband and see a fat guy who's out of shape... But, sometimes that thinking sneaks up on me.
I'm working on it with my therapist, or at least I will if it ever comes up... we are still in the getting to know each other phase at this point!
Huggles!!

My husband has only been with big women throughout his life, till I lost all this weight. So I've become the first "skinny" woman he has ever been with.
I asked my hubby, before I had surgery, if he only liked big women. He told me that size didn't matter, it was what is inside that counts.
So was he truly a chubby chaser? I really don't know, but he sure doesn't mind having a thin attractive wife ;) He has loved me at my worst, and stayed... now he has me at my best!

I was a little worried that my boyfriend was initially against surgery because he was a chubby chaser. Most of the women he has been in relationships with have been big. However, I'm finding that he is getting quite excited at the idea of seeing me shrink. He is totally supportive of the surgery now and has been great about modifying our meals so they're more healthy. He still keeps junk food in the house, but it's usually kept in his "man cave" and not in the shared areas of the house. He doesn't love cooking healthy (because he feels like there are a lot fewer options)... but he loves me, so he'll do it. I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful partner!
