I am thinking fatty stools too but my diet is not high in fat, lean protein and little veges and fruit.  Leave it to me to be different.  I like to be a maverick!
And yes, the odor.  The only thing worse is my Pug passing gas!
Thanks for the input!

I have 2 pugs and I agree.  Also have been having the yellow stuff.  I go to the dr Monday for my first check up.  I will mention it, I am sure he will ask if I am going anyways.  Has been pretty regulal other than the first week, it was a little slow going.

Soft, Smelly Stool

Soft, foul-smelling stool that floats, sticks to the side of the bowl, or is difficult to flush away may mean there is increased fat in the stools, called steatorrhea. Stool is sometimes also pale. Learn more about the causes of soft, foul-smelling stool.

Yellow Stool

Yellow stool can indicate that food is passing through the digestive tract relatively quickly. Yellow stool can be found in people with GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). Symptoms of GERD include heartburn, chest pain, sore throat, chronic cough, and wheezing. Symptoms are usually worse when lying down or bending. Foods that can worsen GERD symptoms include peppermint, fatty foods, alcohol, coffee, and chocolate.

Yellow stool can also result from insuffient bile output. Bile salts from the liver gives stool its brownish color. When bile output is diminished, it often first appears as yellow stool. If there is a greater reduction in bile output, stool lose almost all of its color, becoming pale or grey.

If the onset is sudden, yellow stool can also be a sign of a bacterial infection in the intestines.

It may be common after WLS but yellow stools are not normal. It is a sign of a change in digestion. Something isnt working right for it to be yellow.  Doc didnt mention this before surgery.  I have painful Gerd and painful ibs now.  I regret having the sleeve surgery.  People need to mention the bad and the good, not just the good so people will know.

I am 8 weeks out, and the color of my stool has changed permanently it seems. Mine is a lighter color than it ever was before surgery. I also go once a day, every morning which is different than it used to be too. You should definetly ask your doctor about it, but it might be normal like mine.
