 Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for tasteless protein powder? I have not had surgery yet,  but have been trying to prepare my self my drinking protein once a day to get use to the taste, i've tried and i cant get past the bad taste. I'm afraid if i dont find something soon i will never get my protein in and thats not good!!! I live in the chicago area and live near a gnc, walmart, target, costco, sams club etc......... thanks!

I don't think there really is any that is tasteless.  There is unflavored, meaning not chocolate or vanilla or whatever, but it still kind of has a taste.  You can hide the taste in things, though.  Like I enjoy vanilla protein in coffee drinks and the coffee taste and smell kind of covers up the protein taste/smell.

But also try a lot of different brands.  You'll find some taste a lot better than others.  You can get a lot of samples at vitalady.com.

You can try Pure from Bariatric Eating but there are some good tasting protein powders out there.  Vitalady.com has lots of samples at reasonable prices.  I like the BSN Lean Dessert proteins and the BSN Synthra 6 in Strawberry or Chocolate Milkshake.  Neither of them have the protein taste or smell.

Good luck in your search.

I havent found any tasteless protein mix or drinks but my favorite right now is cytomax pure protein drink.  Its more like a crystal lite type drink rather than a shake.  You also migh try getting some torvani sugar free syrups, these help "hide" the protien flavor.
I am pre op too and I have heard that your tastes will change after surgery but so far those are my favorites

Unjury's unflavored is pretty tasteless.  I mix it with crystal light and water and I don't think it changes the taste.  The texture is a little different - it makes it kind of foamy, but that is o.k.  I live in Michigan and my orders come pretty quickly.

Hello,

I am having the same issue with protein powder. I have been drinking them in the mornings too to prepare myself for surgery but I hate the taste. I don't want to spend a lot on any protein powder. I live in the Chicago area too and I found unflavored whey protein at vitamin world for $19.99 for 2lbs, it is good and I mix it with chicken and beef broth, not bad. I also bought powder at walmart $14.00 called body fortress, vanilla. It is good when mixed with Maxwell cappuccino sugar free decaf coffee. Walmart has 5 flavors I think. Gnc has many flavors too but they cost too much. Sam's club has Eas 5lb bags for $29.00.

I LOVE GNC's unflavored whey protein powder. After trying three different brands, including Unjury's, GNC's was the most "flavorless". Regretably there is no "tasteless" protein. Now THAT would be something worth investing in!!!

Beneprotein is pretty tasteless, kind of expensive though.
