So for the first 6 days after I get back from the surgery is my liquid diet and I can't have anything of real substance. I can drink water or sugar free juice and crystal light and possibly chicken broth. What do you all think of the 0 calorie gatorade, powerade, and snapple just to stay hydrated?

I don't know those particular drinks because I haven't had them, but I don't personally like crystal light so I drink the Sobe Water 0 and the Vitamin Water Zero and LOVE THEM!!  They have alot of different flavors and no calories.  Yummy!!!

I drink Vitamin water zero. What about Propel?? Do you like that? I heard of some people drinking the gatorade but I'm not sure about the snapple or powerade.

My NUT allowed me to drink Diet Snapple, 0 calorie gatorade, Crystal light, and water.  The Diet Snapple saved me in the hospital.  I was so happy when I was able to finally drink.  It tasted great with the ice chips LOL.

I like SoBe water as well.  The taste is light and not super sweet.  There are decent vitamins added.  Fruit2O also is a very mild flavored water.  Snapple is tea.  Does it have caffeine?  Your surgeon may not approve.

Jus****ch out for the sugar alcohols.  I do ok with powerade zero, but I tried vitamin water 10 a few weeks out from surgery and it gave me the runs like woah.  We tend to be sensitive to them.

When I was on liquids my NUT allowed me to have the G2 (different flavors) and was allowed Diet Snapple also. Zero Cal Gatorade was stocked in my fridge but I didn't drink it much after I bought it all due to the fact that there is 110mg of sodium in each bottle. I was afraid of retaining to much fluid at the time. I pretty much live on Crystal Light all day.

I really enjoyed the light gatorade for my first week home.  It was usually how I would start the day, using it to get my pills in.
